Biography:

Jon Eagle Sr., is a nationally known consultant with
over 22 years of experience working with children,
families and communities.  Jon has 13 years of
experience consulting with tribal, state and federal
agencies.  He is considered an expert on the
Wraparound Process, Systems of Care, Cultural
Competence and Leadership.  Jon has done numerous
trainings and workshops at the tribal, state and
national conferences across the United States and
Canada.

In 1998, Mr. Eagle was hired as a care coordinator for
the Sacred Child Project, a nationally recognized
demonstration project, funded by the Substance
Abuse Mental Health Services Administration
(SAMHSA), where he implemented the Wraparound
Process with Native American families.  He was later
hired by the Native American Training Institute, in
Bismarck, North Dakota where he developed the first
ever care coordinator certification training and
curriculum specifically geared towards giving Native
Americans needed resources and training to work
with youth who were diagnosed with Serious
Emotional Disturbances (SED).  

During his career, Jon has had the honor of serving
on many tribal, state and national advisory
committees.  In 2007, he was appointed to the North
Dakota State Vocational Rehabilitation Council by
Governor, John Hoeven.  In 2008, Governor Hoeven
appointed him to the Statewide Independent Living
Council as well.  He is currently a member of the
consultant pool for the National Cultural
Competence Center for Children's Mental Health,
Center for Child and Human Development,
Georgetown University, Washington, DC.  

Jon Eagle Sr., is currently the Director of Standing
Rock Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Standing
Rock Sioux Tribe at Sitting Bull College.  Jon is an
independent contractor with Vroon VanDenBerg,
LLP and serves as a grant reviewer for SAMHSA.
